Cornel has most recently produced The Art of Love, a Swiss-British character-driven comedy. Taking the project from script to screen meant facilitating production with a small core team and a tight budget and managing an international shoot amid the uncertainty of a global pandemic.

Previously, he worked with legendary producers Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa of Bona Fide Productions (Little Miss Sunshine, Cold Mountain, Nebraska, Election) as a story editor, where he learned invaluable lessons on script analysis and the American independent film industry.

In 2019, Cornel took time off from working to pursue a master’s degree from University of Southern California’s selective Stark Producing Program, deepening his understanding of the finance, development and production process.

In addition to a master’s in producing from USC, Cornel holds a bachelor’s in screenwriting from Regent’s University London.

Previous to working and living in Los Angeles, Cornel supported physical production at a TV producer in Munich, Germany, produced marketing content for Sika Corp. USA in New Jersey and worked at Harbor Picture company New York, an east coast post-production house with a broad range of commercial, TV and film clients.

Cornel is currently based in Zurich, Switzerland.
